ArchiMate, The Open Group Standard, is an open and independent modelling language for enterprise architecture that’s is supported by different tool vendors and consulting firms.
Upon completion, participants can enroll in the following certification exam:
Archimate 3 Foundation
The purpose of this certification is to provide validation that the participants has gained knowledge of the notation,terminology, structure and concepts of the ArchiMate modelling language. The learning objectives at this level focus on knowledge and comprehension.
Archimate 3 Practitioner
The purpose of this certification is to provide validation that the participants has gained knowledge as in level 1 and has the capability to use the ArchiMate language for modelling
Audience
IT/Enterprise Architects (business architects , software architects, information architects and infrastructure architect) who need to use ArchiMate in yhe context of TOGAF environment.
Prerequisites
None, basic understanding of TOGAF 9 is recommended
Methodology
This program will be conducted with interactive lectures, PowerPoint presentations, discussions and practical exercises
Course Objectives
- It provides an understanding on the ArchiMate modeling language, its core concepts and their relationship to TOGAF
- It provides an understanding on the aspects an layersin ArchiMate framework i.e. the relationship among application, business and technology layers
- It present the concept to model the cross layer dependencies by offering to model the link between business application and technology
- It covers the application of the ArchiMate concepts using motication Elements, Strategy Elements , Physical Elements, Implementation and migration
- It provides a flexible approach in which architects can represent different stakeholder view, especially those impacted by the change process.
ASSESSMENT
Participants may choose to sit for the exam at the test center or at home (Online Proctored Tests) within the validity period of exam voucher (one year).
- Information and an exam guide will be provided together with the exam voucher by email.
- The exam consists of:
- ArchiMate® 3 Part 1 Exam – 40 questions in simple multiple-choice format/ 1 hour (closed book), examination passing rate is 60%.
- ArchiMate® 3 Part 2 Exam – 8 complex scenario questions/ 1 Hour 30 Minutes (open book), examination passing rate is 65%.
