The Values & Main Entities of Scrum

The Scrum framework is designed to help users to address complex problems. The core focus of Scrum is to create an effective team collaboration on complex products. To add, not only is Scrum a light-weighted framework, it is also simple to understand but at the same time, require a much needed effort to master the skills.

Users who take advantage of the Scrum framework are likely to possess these FIVE Scrum Values, namely:
1. Courage – to do the right thing
2. Focus – on completing the sprint tasks and achieve team goal
3. Commitment – to achieve goal set by the team
4. Respect – and trust the team to complete their given tasks
5. Openness – Scrum Team and stakeholders to have transparency

A Scrum Team usually consists of THREE to NINE member who each have designated role. However, there are THREE main entities in a Scrum Team namely:
1. Scrum Product Owner
2. Scrum Master
3. Scrum Developer

Scrum Product Owner will be the one in charge in representing the stakeholders. They are required to make sure that the development team create products that have a maximum value to it and manage product backlog.

Scrum Master is responsible to make sure everyone in the team is executing Scrum value and are aligned to the Scrum methodology. Not only this, they are also tasks to make sure people on the outside of the team understands the Scrum value, practices, rules and theory.

Scrum Developer is required to understand the entire process of how Scrum works in order to work together as a Scrum Development Team. Often the team consists of not only developers but also a business analysts, designers, architects, software testers and more.
