Microsoft 365: The Only Workplace Solution That Matters

Hosting the trifecta of Microsoft most popular assets, Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security are bundled as Microsoft 365. Officially introducing the concept in July 2017 whereby it was launched shortly after, Microsoft 365 imagines a workplace without barriers. Microsoft 365 was designed to tackle productivity and data security issues, but the difficulty that may surface in its adaptation is another matter.

Barriers to Microsoft 365 Adaptation

Deploying Microsoft 365 in a workplace and the employees’ adaptation that follows can turn out to be painstaking experience for the less adept users. With the heavy reliance on technology to get work done, it may be worthwhile to invest in training. Well-trained staff can also be more productive and produce higher earnings for the company. Companies which spent more on employee training enjoyed up to 28% higher profit margin than those who spend less on training.

Instructor-led training: Get ready to excel with HRDF-certified trainers backed by decades of experience in operating Microsoft systems and softwares. Passing Microsoft 365 certification exams is no longer a daunting task for employees when they got experts on their backs.

Private class: Experience the freedom in learning by customizing course curriculum at your own will. Express your concerns and let a Microsoft Learning Partner whip out a solution that suits every need and budget.

Online training: High flexibility in learning gives employees freedom to adjust their learning pace freely. Train employees with specific skills unique to their Microsoft roles and certifications.

Coming Soon: Microsoft Azure + Microsoft 365

Earlier in April 2018, Microsoft revealed plans to market Azure-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and app service soon. This new service is set to raise the bars in virtual cloud desktop as a service (DaaS) and challenge Amazon Workspaces and VMware Workspace One. The move is not surprising as cloud-based services are gaining momentum and Microsoft is hopping on the bandwagon thanks to Azure.

Changing trends require business owners to equip employees with future-proof skills to weather uncertainties. What would be sufficient to stay up-to-date with current and upcoming Microsoft developments? We believe investing in employee certifications will go a long way in supplanting their practical know-how with proven theoretical knowledge.

Getting certified will also help to boost the career prospects for independent learners. An online study found that employees who obtained online certification enjoyed up to 76% of salary increment or promotion. The investment to obtain Microsoft certification is worthwhile for long term growth.

Getting Started: Microsoft Azure Administrator role

Take the certification for Azure Administrator Associate for instance, we examine how the certification path will take place. It’s ideal to choose a learning path based on your role at work, and prepare for the exams with courses (as we described above earlier). Practice exams can be taken to get used to the exam interface. An approximate 40-60 questions can be expected during actual examination and allocate at least 3 hours to complete it.

As seen in the chart, individuals with different specializations in managing Microsoft Azure can still undertake AZ100: Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment Exam and AZ101: Microsoft Integration and Security Exam to get certified and become Azure Administrator Associate. Certification path also exists for Azure Developer Associate and Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Having a predetermined goal on which certification to obtain based on existing expertise is a great. This is to ensure that you will more likely succeed in your certification exams.

With more upcoming development for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure, we are excited to see how Microsoft will aspire to revolutionize the workplaces we know today. Getting familiarized with new Microsoft products are essential to bring out the best potential of the employees and enterprises. Upskill today to meet the challenges of adaptation and be a true Microsoft technologist.
