METHODOLOGY
This program will be conducted with interactive lectures, PowerPoint presentation, discussions, and practical exercises.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
• The instructor will give all details of ECBA exam and answer queries.
• The instructor will introduce students to IT and different types of software projects. It will also equip students with knowledge of SDLC.
• The instructor will explain students responsibilities, competencies, artifacts of BA.
• The instructor will explain BABOK structure and how it is organized.
• The instructor will explain BA Core Concept Models, requirement classification and Stakeholders.
• The instructor will explain all tasks in BAPM and ask students to work on a case study to identify stakeholders.
• Instructor will teach each task in this KA with the help of group discussions, role plays which will help in recall and reinforcement of these concepts.
• The instructor will explain different analysis techniques and draw various design models like process flows, activity diagrams, use cases and prototypes.
• The instructor will explain SCRUM and role of BA in SCRUM, he will also teach how to write user stories.
• The instructor will explain requirement life cycle in detail and traceability and prioritization with the help of examples.
• Instructor will explain As-is and To-be states and process flows.
• Instructor will explain solution evaluation with the help of a real-life case study and explain all tasks of KA using the example.
• Instructor will explain all techniques used in BABOK.
LEARNING OUTCOME
• Students should be able to remember ECBA exam pattern, preparation, and study material.
• By the end of Unit 1, students will be able to understand the basic of software, SDLC concepts and identify different stakeholders in a project.
• By the end of Unit 2, Students should be able to understand and remember a business analyst role, resp, competencies.
• By the end of Unit 3, Students should be able to remember BABOK Structure and KA
• By the end of Unit 4, Students will be able to understand and remember requirement types, identify stakeholders.
• By the end of Unit 5, Students will be able to identify stakeholders and prepare a stakeholder matrix plan based on case study given.
• By the end of Unit 6, Students will be able to demonstrate how to elicit requirements, and prepare a BRD, FSD for the project assigned.
• By the end of Unit 6, Students will be able to demonstrate and create process flow diagrams, activity diagrams and use case diagrams for the project assigned.
• By the end of Unit 7, Students will be able to understand SCRUM methodology and artifacts prepared by BA. He will be able to document requirements in the form of user stories.
• By the end of Unit 8, Students will be able to create a traceability matrix and prioritize requirements using MOSCOW technique.
• By the end of Unit 9, Students will be able to document As-is and to be states of a system.
• By the end of Unit 10, Students will be able to understand and recall all the tasks in this KA.
• By the end of Unit 11, Students should be able to understand how business analysis applies to different streams and areas.
• By the end of Unit 12, Students will be able to identify techniques which apply to a specific KA and how and when they are used.

Lavanya Arul
Lavanya has been working in the IT industry since 1996 and has been exposed to all job roles. She started as an IT developer and later progressed as a project manager for MNC's in Malaysia and Singapore. She worked with end-users and clients to understand the challenges in their environment. She started training as a career since 2006 and has a lot of passion for it. Her main advantage is 'on the spot' customization of sessions based on the target audience and in making these sessions lively and informative as possible. She has served as a board member for Singapore PMI chapter for 3 years.

Sajana Binil
Sajana have over 20 years of experience in IT, including 15 years in Business Analysis and 5 year in Business Development – banking and capital markets domain. She has been a business analysis mentor and coach for over a decade now and has impacted over 1000 business analysts through her training programs. Being an avid agile enthusiast, she is passionate about exploring innovative ways in which agile can be applied to derive tangible and measurable learning outcomes. Her research work ‘Transforming Learning through Agility’ was published in International Journal of Trend in Research and Development in Dec 2020. In Aug 2020, she founded my own training company ‘Interactive Learning Solutions’ which specializes in Business Analysis trainings. Prior to training, she was in a full-time role with Mphasis Software Services as Associate Practice Manager for Business Analysis Competency group till Jan 2015. She was also heading the Risk and Compliance pre-sales team in Mphasis and provided guidance in conceptualizing go to market solutions and frameworks.
